PROGRAMMA TOEFL (some info taken from:LONGMAN Preperation course for the TOEFL TEST iBT, Deborah Phillips, 2006)

Language focus:

• For each section of the TOEFL book that we do in class provide students with a thorough understanding of the language skills that are regularly tested on the iBT TOEFL test.

• Review of all tenses needed for the TOEFL

Tasks:

• The teachers will provide practice of one or more skills in every lesson, also in a non-TOEFL format.

• Skills practice for each of the section (reading, listening, speaking, wiriting) provide students with the opportunity to review and master each of the language skills on the test.

Test-taking  TOEFL strategies:

• Strategies that we’ll practice in class provide students with clearly defined steps to maximize their performance on the test.

Mini-Tests:

• Will allow students to stimulate the experience of taking actual tests using shorter versions.

Final Test:

• Will allow students to stimulate the experience of taking actual tests using full-length version(3.5 hours). Will be taken at the end of both sessions.
